The and its poetic meanings shown in Acquasparta
It is now the fourth time that Camaver Kunsthaus International gallery is presenting an international art exhibition in Umbria.
The  theme of the 2007 International Exhibition at Cesi Palace in Acquasparta (Umbria) is tightly connected with  the spirit which aimed all the previous international shows at the Palace and with the town of Acquasparta, but, above all, it draws its inspiration from the founders of the famous Accademia dei Lincei and from their forward spirit.
The sky, the never-ending vault of heaven which contains our world, which surrounds and gets us astonished.
The attention of the Lincei scientists was attentive indeed for the sky and its several mysteries; Federico Cesi same loved to be called with the nick name "Celivago" which means "sky-wander"; and than we cannot ignore the most famous scientist among the Lincei: Galileo Galilei. He was also the inventor of the telescope, the innovative and essential instrument to study the universe.
The scientists of the Accademia dei Lincei defined themselves "Disciples of the nature aimed to observe its marvels and to discover their causes".
Such sentence is enough to understand how much distance there was from the dogmas of that time, when everything must be traced back to the direct action of God.
Than we like quoting an ancient phrase which the Municipality decided to get carved on the new square pavement in front of the Palace; the sentence wants to celebrate the scientists who gave everlasting fame to the Accademia dei Lincei "The target of the human sciences must be teaching the way to go to the sky and not the way to go to heaven".
For the Lincei scientists to understand the sky mechanics was much more interesting than praying and finding the way for entering the Paradise.
What aims the exhibition it is the wide sense relationship between mankind and sky, which is a mirror of man's emotions and problems.
Since the beginning man is fascinated by the sun, the moon, the heavenly bodies and their ancestral simbology.
Anyway, nowadays such as in the ancient past, the sky is a way to God and to a deep mysticism: the sky is over there and so far away, over the man and often beyond his knowledge.
The International Art Exhibition at Cesi Palace, the ancient place of Accademia dei Lincei, is going to present all the above themes through the several interpretations of the artists. It will offer to the onlookers both a time for reflection and a time for relaxing in a unique atmosphere.
The exhibition is only a part of the program of events connected with the Renaissance Festival which is organized by the City of Aquasparta. Saturday, the 2nd of june, a cultural afternoon happening will be held inside the palace: a new unpublished  tale will be read. The novel is inspired to the men who founded the Accademia.
The artistic show will be spread in other places in Acquasparta downtown: three little ancient churches (San Giuseppe, San Francesco e Santissimo Sacramento) of the town contradas which offer their space for different angle view respect to the traditional exhibition at Cesi Palace.
Furthermore for the full month of june visitors will have the opportunity to express their preferences, voting  their favorite  artist or artwork. A real public award will be assigned  to the artist who encounters the visitors satisfaction. Moreover among all people who expressed their preferences an artwork will be assigned by Camaver Kunsthaus International.
The exhibition is intended like a meeting point for people and cultures from  different countries, taking different experiences and point of view upon topics that are ancient but always actual.
